The Ordinary Retinol 0.5% serum helps improve skin texture and even out skin tone while reducing the appearance of fine lines and pores; it also promotes cell renewal and stimulates collagen production.

It contains 0.5% retinol dissolved in a squalane base (an oil that mimics the skin's natural oils), making it a moderate-strength formula suitable for use after trying the 0.2% concentration.

Suitable for those with some experience using retinol. Beginners should ideally start with the 0.2% concentration or opt for a less irritating alternative, such as the new Granactive Retinoid.

How to Use:

Apply only in the evening to clean, completely dry skin (some experts recommend waiting 15–30 minutes after washing).

Apply 2–3 drops to the face and neck (avoiding the eye and mouth areas), followed by a suitable moisturizer.

Start gradually: begin with once or twice a week, then increase usage based on your skin's tolerance (e.g., once a week for the first week, then twice, then three times).

Once your skin has adjusted, you can use it every other night or as your skin's tolerance allows.

Sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher) must be used daily, as retinol increases the skin's sensitivity to the sun. It is recommended to keep the product refrigerated after opening and to use it within 3 months to ensure its effectiveness.
